Full disclosure, I did receive the product for free. I've played 11 games now, and they are fast and fun skirmishes. The rulebook itself is well laid out, filled with enough interesting lore sections and beautiful artwork to properly set the scene. There are a few minor formatting issues with the rulebook, but the author seems interested in developing the product further. Overall it reminds me a lot of Frostgrave, which isn't a bad thing, with enough extra stuff in there to set it apart and earn it a space in the gaming group.
One of the key features of this game, which really sets it apart, is something called Equilibrium Points. These are bonus points you gather by casting spells from multiple schools of magic in a turn. This means players are actively rewarded for varying their spells, rather than spamming the same ones all the time. There's currently only a handful of rewards to spend these points on (which does make them easy to remember), but I hope these are expanded on it futu...
